I am a New York City-based certified yoga instructor. Born in Madrid, Spain to Dominican parents, my family relocated to the city when I was seven years old. I discovered yoga as a physical practice in 2014 at Brahman Yoga in Harlem, while completing my undergraduate studies. What started off as a goal to increase my strength and flexibility, quickly turned into a personal commitment to incorporate the teachings of yoga both on and off the mat, resulting in a renewed lifestyle.
I completed my 200-Hour Teacher Training through Yoga Vida NYC in March 2021, where I was trained in the vinyasa style. My teachings are heavily focused on form, alignment, and joint health to ensure students learn how to move their bodies in ways that are safe and sustainable.
I am dedicated to breaking down barriers that preclude groups from being exposed to the benefits of yoga by leading safe, accessible and creative sequences, sharing my extensive knowledge of yoga as a physical and spiritual practice through my social media platform, and openly advocating for the decolonization of yoga as a way to preserve the integrity of this centuries-old practice.
I am a graduate of The City College of New York, where I received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Business Management and International Studies and an alumna of New York University, where I received a Master’s of Arts in International Business and Politics.
